You know it's been quite an eventful for summer for someone when their wedding is probably the least absorbing part of that summer. Now even Alvaro Morata's new shirt number is in question.
Back in the middle of June Morata blissfully tied the knot with Italian fashion blogger Alice Campello in Venice, what could be more perfect.
That came not long after the Spanish striker had won the Champions League and La Liga double with Real Madrid and life was going swimmingly.

Not long after it looked like Morata was to be heading for Old Trafford and Manchester United and even reportedly interrupted his honeymoon to make sure the deal was done.
Of course fate would conspire against the former Juventus player and eventually Chelsea would become his new destination.
Now the 24 year-old is expected to be confirmed as a Blues player within 24 hours after arriving in London for his medical. And there are reports that he'll become the team's new number nine.
But the number nine, whilst iconic at some clubs, has not been a happy place for Chelsea players in recent years and I say players and not strikers for a reason.

After Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink gave up the shirt in 2004 it has been worn by Mateja Kezman, Hernan Crespo, defender Khalid Boulahrouz, midfielder Steven Sidwell, Franco di Santo, Fernando Torres and Radamel Falcao.
It's a who's who of bad Chelsea signings and fans are a little worried:
Morata could have had 8, 9, 20, 25 or possibly 19 with Diego Costa likely to leave but instead he's picked a 'cursed' shirt.

So that's a wedding, honeymoon, two transfer sagas and a curse- busy summer!
