James Rodriguez was unable to get on the scoresheet tonight against Anderlecht by an image of him during the game has gone viral.

The Colombian signed for Bayern on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid and made his first start for the Bavarians against the Belgian outfit, with Carlo Ancelotti's side cruising to a 3-0 win courtesy of goals from Robert Lewandowski, Thiago Alcantara and Joshua Kimmich.

But the former AS Monaco and Porto star was the talk of the town on social media after a stunning snapshot captured him mid-air, with it genuinely looking like he's floating around with the ball under control, has been doing the rounds.

Here are just a few of the many reactions:

I've looked at the picture about 30 times now and still can't explain it. It's up there with Marouane Fellaini's shrivelled face, Lionel Messi and the "priceless sign", Diego Maradona and the eight Belgium defenders lining up to try and stop him, as well as Pele and Bobby Moore swapping shirts, in terms of the all-time iconic football images.

James, meanwhile, will be looking to retain his place in the Bayern side for the visit of Mainz at the weekend.
