There's Something Very Strange About Carlo Ancelotti's FIFA Card

What's gone on here, then?

It's fair to say that the FIFA 18 ratings have been causing a real stir - with all sorts of debates and discussions going on after the overall marks were released.

And with early access now available, ahead of the game's worldwide launch on 29 September, it's very much continuing.

However, out of all of the ratings discussions in regards to players and how 'Player A' should be rated higher than 'Player B', the most ridiculous decision by EA isn't even in relation to a player - it is in fact a manager.

Having stumbled onto a thread on the FIFA subreddit, where there's been discussions aplenty as per usual, we've been utterly perplexed to learn that Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti is a silver manager, rather Gold, for some bizarre reason that beggars belief.

At first, there was me thinking that it was fake, but a quick check on the Web App, now live, clarifies that the Italian coach is indeed only a silver on Ultimate Team.

While it doesn't really matter that much in the grand scheme of things, really, given that you could have Neil Warnock as your manager and still be the dog's bollocks as long as your team is bang on the money, it's a bit mental that a manager who has won three Champions Leagues and four League titles in four different countries, didn't warrant a Gold card. I bet Carlo is fuming.

Here's how the people of Reddit reacted:

I suppose on the bright side, if you enjoy building silver teams, you've found your perfect manager.
