Vinicius Junior is the next big and bright thing at Real Madrid and the Brazilian is set for big things but he'd be in for even bigger things but if he got his wish to play with his idol.
Real Madrid really wanted to sign Neymar. It wasn't when the Brazilian moved from Barcelona to PSG that they really felt left out but before he moved from Santos to Barca, when they too were after him.
Club president Florentino Perez always wants the biggest and most marketable names in his Galacticos side and the new at the time Brazilian sensation would have been the perfect fit.
Instead Neymar moved to Clasico rivals Barcelona, there's no way Perez would let that happen again. That's why he made sure he got the 'new Neymar' by signing Vinicius Junior when he was still just 17/

Vinicius couldn't join Los Blancos until he turned 18 so he arrived in the Spanish capital last summer and has already made an impact on the first team, having made 16 appearances across several competitions.
The 18 year old is expected to have a big future and speaking to Fox Sports in Brazil he revealed which one player he'd like to play alongside in that future, saying:
"I want to play next to Neymar, who is my idol. He's a guy I've been with since I was little, since when he started at the Santos, I follow him closely. I have a great affection, and he knows it."
Neymar left Brazil for his move to Europe in 2013, when Vinicius would have been around 12, and the PSG man has clearly had a big effect on the Real forward's life.

The two men are both forwards and Vinicius, who started life at Flamengo, has often played on the left hand side of an attacking three, like his idol.
Real have been interested in Neymar in the past and the Brazil captain has long been linked with a potential return to Spain.
The former Barca man is reportedly unhappy with life in Paris and would apparently like to return to his former Spanish club but a move to Madrid can't be ruled out and he would make an excellent long term replacement for the previously departed Cristiano Ronaldo.

Clearly the 'next Neymar' would be very happy to welcome the original.
