Tottenham Agree €35 Million Signing

Will there finally be an incoming for Spurs?

Admittedly, I've written about Spurs being about to complete their first signing of the summer about three times already in the last couple of weeks but it seems like it might genuinely happen.

The lack of new signings has concerned Spurs fans (and Danny Rose), with Mauricio Pochettino not building on last season's second-placed finish and adding that extra piece of the jigsaw as of yet.

Previous reports had indicated that Hoffenheim's Jeremy Toljan, and then Genoa's Giovanni Simeone, were to become Spurs first signing but there's been no progression with either deals.

And now appears as though a deal for another player is more likely to arrive first. According to Catalan journalist Gerard Romero from RAC1, the club have all but wrapped up a move to bring Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez.

The Colombian only joined move to Amsterdam from Atletico Nacional last year but made a huge impression in his 46 outings last season, including a string of fine displays in Ajax's run to the Europa League final.

The likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Chelsea have been courting him for a while but now the 21-year old looks poised to make the move to North London in a £35 million move.

Ajax will be making a massive profit on the player given that they only paid around €5 million (£4.5 million) for his services a year ago.

One Spurs fan is so thrilled with Spurs now set to finally complete a bit of business, that he is already perfectly edited the player's Wikipedia page:
