Spurs not only finished above Arsenal in the Premier League last season, but it also appears they're set to hijack a move for a Arsenal summer transfer target.

With Spurs finishing in second place, Mauricio Pochettino's charges once again have Champions League football to look forward too. Just like French outfit Nice.

Nice's third place finish has seen them clinch a Champions League qualifying spot as seek to enter Europe's elite competition.

Though one of their key players may be jumping ship. While Mario Balotelli starred for Nice, Jean Michael Seri also performed heroics.

And his outings in Ligue 1 have not gone unnoticed. Following a season which saw him rack up seven goals and nine assists, he's alerted plenty of clubs from around Europe.

He's been linked with Arsenal, AS Roma not to mention Barcelona, Paris-Saint Germain, and a lucrative offer from Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan who are offering the player £8 million net.

In short, a bunch of sides are monitoring his situation.

Though Spurs have been given permission to sign him according to French outlet RMC.

Roma have already had an offer of £22 million rejected as the Italians have identified him as their No.1 transfer target.

But Spurs have reportedly agreed a fee with Nice ahead of a potential £35 million transfer.

Seri embarked on his European journey in Portugal with Porto's reserve side before signing for Pacos de Ferreira. He then sealed a transfer to France with Nice as he looks to be joining England's top flight.

The Ivory Coast international could be 'Poch's' first piece of business while it seems likely that Kyle Walker will be departing North London for Premier League rivals Manchester City.

Will the central midfield player be a welcome addition to the Argentine's squad?
