Roma Reject Bid For Alisson And Demand Huge Bid To Sell Him

There's already been a bid for the Liverpool target turned down and it will have to be a big transfer bid to see him leave.

Jurgen Klopp has decided that Loris Karius will be his Liverpool number one going forward but there's still talk that they will invest in a new goalkeeper. If they want Roma's Alisson they'll have to spend big after the Serie A side turned down one bid.

Liverpool look in pretty decent shape to challenge for the Premier League title, or at least be closer to Manchester City if Pep Guardiola's side recreate their ridiculous form once again next season.

Check out our Liverpool what could have been XI:

Despite losing Philippe Coutinho in January the Reds have continued at decent pace. The addition of Virgil van Dijk at the back has certainly helped and fans are excited by the prospect of Naby Keita joining.

Of course that doesn't solve all their problems. As Manchester United proved last weekend there's certainly still some problems at the back and many remain unconvinced by the goalkeeping options of Karius and Simon Mignolet.

There's reports that the Reds are in for Roma's Brazilian keeper Alisson but they wouldn't be the only ones. And according to Gazzetta dello Sport Napoli have already made a £35 million bid for the Brazilian. The offer was turned down as the Romans reportedly want around £80 million for their number one.

Alisson is likely to be the number one goalie for his national side at the World Cup this summer, beating Manchester City's Ederson to the place shows how highly regarded he actually is.

Gazzetta say that the 25 year old is happy at the Stadio Olimpico right now and with the likes of Real Madrid and PSG also apparently circling it wouldn't come as a surprise to see him turn down Napoli right now anyway.

£80 million would be a huge outlay for a goalkeeper, smashing the record paid for a number keeper but with his relative young age and huge ability it's no surprise that's how much his club want.

The Naples side are in need of a new number one next season as Pepe Reina has reportedly agreed to join AC Milan in the summer, although those reports have yet to be confirmed.

That in turn could mean Gianluigi Donnarumma leaving the San Siro to one of Europe's giants.

Would Liverpool pay that much to replace Karius or will they stick by him?
