Harry Redknapp To Make The Most Harry Redknapp Deadline Day Signings Ever

Of course he is.

Forget Jim White, his loud screams and his shite today, Harry Redknapp is the rightful owner of the 'Mr Deadline Day' moniker.

It simply wouldn't be deadline day without Redknapp taking to Sky Sports from his car window and doing his fair bit of wheeling and dealing.

We all know Redknapp doesn't like being referred to as a 'wheeler dealer'...

And that is exactly what is happening. Having missed out on the action in the most recent deadline day, in January, because he was out of without a job, the Birmingham City boss has been desperate to add to his squad.

Not content with the ten signings, including loans for Arsenal pair Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall, Southampton striker Sam Gallagher, and Chelsea's Jeremie Boga, he has made so far, Redknapp has been typically busy.

Reports earlier today say that the 70-year old has ousted a number of Premier League clubs to the £6 million signing of Brentford winger Jota, as well as signing Jason Lowe from Birmingham, and now Lyall Thomas, assistant news editor for Sky Sports News, says that the well-travelled boss is in talks over the signing of former Arsenal, Barcelona and West Ham midfielder Alex Song.

'Arry' had been trying to land Robbie Keane, Stewart Downing and Ashley Cole but has been unsuccessful in his pursuit for the experienced trio. He was never going to sit on his backside on deadline day, though, and so is pushing hard to sign Cameroonian international Song, 29.

The Daily Mail say that a move for the central midfielder is close and Song has already travelled to the midlands in order to complete his move to St Andrews.

Understandably, Twitter reacted in brilliant fashion:

BUT THERE'S MORE! Reports have also surfaced that Redknapp is pushing to sign Arsenal's Jack Wilshere, a former teammate of Song's, on loan.

We're still not ruling out the possibility of Redknapp putting in a cheeky bid for his old pals Peter Crouch and Niko Kranjcar. Never change, Harry.
