Premier League Side Ponder January Move For Mario Balotelli

Why always him? The former Premier League winner could be heading back to England for his third club in the country.

Like a wrestler returning after a long time out I wait with anticipation the entrance Mario Balotelli would make to the Premier League if indeed one club in England does swoop for him January.

There's something magical about Mario Balotelli he is the Premier League's prodigal son, a cult hero of sorts in England, and a man who we'd absolutely love to see back, even if we'd probably prefer it not to be to our own team.

In his first spell in the country, when at Manchester City, there were stories of fireworks going off in his bathroom, buying a giant trampoline, Scalextric, and a quad bike when he was meant to buy an iron for his mum and of course a ridiculous amount of parking fines.

That's away from all the football stuff, like the famous 'Why Always Me' t-shirt, the allergy to grass and the inability to put on a bib properly. Man Balotelli gave us a hell of a ride.

The Italian has been away from England for three years after his spell at Liverpool was interrupted by a loan to Milan and then ended with a move to Nice, where he's been for two years.

Now, according to L'Equipe, he could return to the Premier League in January with West Ham reportedly keeping an eye on his current situation.

Balotelli was expected to have left Nice by now. It was initially thought that the end of the season was the end of his contract and he seemed to say goodbye to the Eaglets' fans at the last game.

However he actually has another year left on his contract and the Allianz Riviera side want €10 million to let him go, despite the fact that he was late to turn up to training in pre season and also turned up in Marseille for training at one point.

Marseille are one of his possible destinations this summer whilst Napoli and Borussia Dortmund have previously been linked but there's every possibility that he could remain where he is for now.

If that were the case then Manuel Pellegrini could move for the Italian in the January transfer window. The two didn't get to work together at Manchester City with the striker leaving when the manager joined.

Think of the promos, think of the entrance music, think of the finisher. Balotelli back in the Premier League? We can only dream for now.
