Premier League Side Linked With Incredible Swoop For Aubameyang

Surely not?

A number of clubs were present at the Bernabeu this evening to scout Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon international struck twice in the 3-2 defeat, continuing his red-hot form in front of goal.

But though he's enjoying bagging the goals, Aubameyang doesn't appear to be settled at BVB, and according to BILD, wishes to move on when the January transfer window opens.

He has been linked with just about every club under the sun over the last couple of seasons, and it's said that he longs for a return to old club AC Milan, who were touted as a potential destination over the summer.

As per the report, the Rossoneri had representatives in the Spanish capital to see his double against Real, but they were also joined by members of three Premier League clubs.

Chelsea and Liverpool are two of the teams, but the most surprising news is that Everton are monitoring the former Saint-Etienne man's situation.

The Toffees, who have just appointed Sam Allardyce as their new manager, have struggled to replace the goals of Romelu Lukaku, who left in a £75 million move to Manchester United.

They reportedly tried for both Olivier Giroud and Diego Costa in the summer, but neither materialised. The arrival of a prolific striker will surely be a priority for Allardyce next month, but if they could somehow land Aubameyang, the scenes would be quite incredible.

Not too long ago, Aubameyang was suspended by his club, for the second time in his stint in Germany, due to "disciplinary reasons" and the consensus is that he is still not happy.

Since joining in 2013, he's bagged 141 goals in all competitions and cemented his place as one of the most lethal strikers in world football.

Surely the Everton links are nothing more than a bit of a gossip?
