It's hard to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sticking around at Borussia Dortmund for much longer and there's a fresh update regarding his future.

The Gabon international has been linked with just about every big club under the sun, and has been heavily tipped to be the next marquee signing for the mega-rich Chinese Super League. There was even talk that he had agreed a stunning move to Tianjin Quanjin but it never materalised.

And though it won't be happening this summer, as the transfer window in China has slammed shut, German outlet BILD say that when the window re-opens in January, Aubameyang will be heading to the Chinese Super League.

There's no word on the club or any details on salary or transfer fee, but the talk is that the 28-year old will be China-bound mid-season.

Dortmund have since denied that claim, with director of communications Sascha Fligge telling Sky Sports:

"We have no contact to a club regarding a transfer of Aubameyang, and consequently no club was talking about a change in January.

And to throw another layer to the conflicting transfer rumours regarding Aubameyang, transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that the former Saint-Etienne striker is rejecting a new contract offer at Signal Iduna park because he wants to move back to to big-spending AC Milan this summer.

Aubameyang scored 39 goals in all competitions last season, including a league-high 31 in the Bundesliga.
