Neymar Wants Barcelona Return But Must Do Four Things First

The PSG forward is reportedly unhappy in France and wants to return to his former club but there's much to do till he's back in La Liga.

Neymar could soon make a surprise return to La Liga with his former club Barcelona but if that is to happen then the Brazilian will have to do four things and hope Barca and PSG can come to an agreement.

It's not even 18 months ago that Neymar changed the face of football but so much has it changed since that it feels so much longer ago.

When PSG activated the Brazilian's £198 million last summer it shocked the world of football because no one had ever paid £100 million for a player, never mind nearly double that.

In one foul swoop it changed the transfer market with values shooting up and records being broken all over the place, especially with defenders and goalkeepers.

Ever since though there has been rumours that the former Santos forward would be returning to La Liga, either with Real Madrid or back to Barca.

Goal report that Neymar is unhappy in France and does want a return to the Camp Nou and the Catalan giants are interested but need four things from their former player first.

Firstly the player would need the player to make the first steps in a move. That would start with an admission that he 'rushed his departure' in order to placate fans still angry at his decision to leave.

Next up would be a wage cut from his incredible salary in Ligue 1 which, according to Goal, the 26 year old is actually on board with.

There are several court issues Neymar has in Spain right now and these would need to come to an end before he made his return, including the claim and counterclaim player and club have against each other over money owed.

Finally Barca need the player to force the move by making his current club aware he's unhappy, in order not to open hostilities up between Barca and PSG.

The La Liga champions would then need to negotiate a transfer with the Ligue 1 champions and would be willing to use Ivan Rakitic or Ousmane Dembele as part of any deal.

There is a hell of a long way to go by the sounds of it but it's certainly possible that the most expensive player on the planet could return to Barcelona.
