When it comes to football transfer rumours there's either no smoke without fire or it's a very clever ploy to get more money. No one knows where Neymar to Real Madrid sits just yet but now there's a hint it could be the latter.

The first time it was brought up that PSG could move for Neymar and trigger his £198 million transfer release clause it sounded like absolute folly and was surely just a ploy for the Brazilian to get more money at the Camp Nou.

Check out our Mendes vs Raiola XIs:

How foolish we all were. When once £198 million looked far too much to spend on any player now seems like a pretty reasonable price for one of the world's best players.

So just how much would he cost were anyone to sign him this summer? Well you can be pretty certain that PSG would want to make a profit on the world's most expensive player so you could be looking at near £300 million.

That could be realistic though with Real Madrid heavily linked with the former Santos forward. According to the Times Neymar has spoken to his current club about the possible move and demanded a pay rise in order to stay.

According to the report he wants a 'hefty' pay rise despite the fact that his current five year deal already pays him around £1 million-a-week, that means in just over a year he could have afforded Mo Salah!

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Antero Henrique were in Brazil last week and met with the player who is likely to miss the rest of the season through injury as he fights to be fit in time for the World Cup.

There the 26 year old is thought to have made his demands. He went to Brazil to get surgery on his foot injury but some doubt that he will be returning to the French capital.

It's well known that Florentino Perez would love to sign Neymar. The Real Galactico builder courted the former Barca forward before he moved from Brazil to La Liga.

Neymar's first season in Paris has had it's problems. Will they succumb to his demands once more or could he actually be off in the summer?
