Following on from the news that Alexandre Lacazette is set to complete a €53 million move to Arsenal next week, the Gunners are also set to land long term target Riyad Mahrez.
The Algerian winger looked set for a move to North London last summer, only for the Leicester City star to stay at the King Power stadium for another season.
The decision to remain with the then Premier League champions proved to be a regrettable one for Mahrez, who failed to replicate the form that he had displayed the previous year, which had helped him to win the PFA Player of The Year as well as a league winner's medal.
A year later and the Algeria international will finally get his move away from the East Midlands, with an official announcement confirming the move expected in the coming days.
Mahrez had also been linked with Barcelona, but the Blaugrana's interest in PSG midfielder Marco Verratti has seen their interest in the Leicester City attacker wane with new manager Ernesto Valverde prioritising a move for the Italian midfielder over the Algerian winger.
With both Mahrez and Lacazette set to arrive at the Emirates stadium in the coming days, it would seem as if Alexis Sanchez's time with the Gunners is drawing to a close, with the Chilean forward refusing to commit to a new contract after being heavily linked with Manchester City over the past few months.
