La Masia graduates often spark ferocious bidding wars between the top clubs in Europe and Abel Ruiz is no different. The 16-year-old striker has alerted the interest of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City but it looks as though the Premier League trio are going to fall short in pursuit of the wonderkid.
Arsenal were apparently knocked back in their attempts to sign the youngster in January, while Chelsea apparently opened preliminary discussions with Ruiz's family at around the same time. New Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had also reportedly made the teenager a priority signing as part of his Etihad revolution.

Ruiz, though, unlike Cesc Fabregas, Hector Bellerin and Gerard Pique, who all ditched Catalonia for the Premier League in their formative years, has opted against the lure of the Premier League and instead decided to sign a new three-year-deal at the Camp Nou.
The young Spaniard commanded a lot of attention with a string of impressive displays at the U17 European Championships, last month, where Spain were eventually beaten by Portugal in the final.
