Borussia Dortmund Eye Up Premier League Player To Replace Mkhitaryan

Good replacement!

If Football Manager has only taught me one thing, and it's taught me a lot more than that over the years including how to do nothing but play FM all day and barely even get up for food or the toilet, then it's how to replace one of your best players when he heads to pastures new, a skill Borussia Dortmund are accustomed to using.

Every year Dortmund seem to lose at least one of their top players and other than wondering if there's an old save the manager can go back to and offer the player a new contract followed by swearing loudly about the fact it's no use you only saved a day ago and then swearing loudly promising to get revenge on the play whose career you made!

Okay so I have some issues to deal with but Thomas Tuchel doesn't have that to fall back on and the Dortmund boss is determined to replace Manchester United's Henrikh Mkhitaryan and is eyeing up Stoke City's Xherdan Shaqiri.

Shaqiri cost Stoke £12 million from Inter Milan last season, a record for the club, but had to try very hard to persuade the former Bayern Munich attacker to join them with the player suggesting after he signed that it was for money and he should have been playing in the Champions League.

The Potters could look to cash in on the 24 year-old who clearly has lots of talent but is pretty inconsistent when it comes to performance. Even at the Euros he struggled to get involved for Switzerland enough in games despite his incredible goal against Poland.
