Arda Turan's Deal To Join New Club Is 'More Than 99 Percent' Done

His transfer is 'more than 99 percent' likely to happen according to his agent.

Arda Turan's transfer away from Barcelona is "more than 99 percent" likely to happen.

Finally.

The Turkish midfielder has been subject to intense transfer speculation with the player deemed surplus to requirements by Ernesto Valverde.

After signing Philippe Coutinho, Valverde's intention has now been to clean up his book by getting rid of players no longer needed.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to listen to offers for the likes of Andre Gomes and Rafinho, among others including Turan.

And it appears he's sealed a deal to sign for Istanbul Basaksehir. His agent has confirmed the switch is nearing completion, according to reports via Football Espana.

"Everything is happening in a positive way," Ahmet Bulut told A Spor.

"The final decision will be made on Friday. We've already given a positive response to Basaksehir and Arda Turan agrees.

Bulut added: "There's only one or two small details needed for an agreement to be reached. Now all that's missing is Barcelona's response.

"The chances of a deal being closed are more than 99 percent.

The report suggests Barcelona are desperate to relieve Turan who are willing to sell him for just €10 million.

The 30-year-old arrived at the Camp Nou in 2015 for €31 million from Atletico Madrid.

Though after switching sides in Spain, Turan has failed to cement a starting spot which includes not making a single appearance in the league, this season.

Basaksehir are top of the Turkish Super Lig, one point ahead of giants Galatasaray.

And their quest for league glory is set to be enhanced with the addition of Turan.
