Ernesto Valverde got named as the new Barcelona manager on Monday and the Spaniard has already named the three men he wants to make sure his team are champions next season.

After a difficult season Luis Enrique decided that three season as the Barcelona manager was enough for him and decided to leave the squad.

Possibly the worst kept secret in football, outside of Arsene Wenger signing a new deal at the Emirates, was the fact that they would appoint Athletic Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde as Enrique's replacement.

And it was confirmed by the club yesterday with the Spaniard signing a deal at the Camp Nou for two seasons and the option for a third.

This season Barcelona were only good enough for second in the league and were knocked out of the semi-finals of the Champions League, not good enough for Barca.

So it seems that Valverde has quite a bit of a strengthening to do in order to get the Catalans back to where they are used to being and according to OK Diario he's already named his three man wanted list.

The newspaper says that number one on the list is Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, second is Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte and third is Arsenal's Hector Bellerin.

Valverde worked with Herrera at Bilbao and the Spanish midfielder has become an important cog in the Manchester United team so Jose Mourinho is unlikely to want to see him leave.

Centre-back Laporte is another who worked with Valverde at San Mames and the 23 year-old has been linked with Barca on a number of occasions.

Herrera is likely to stay at Old Trafford and the new Barca boss is likely to face competition from former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola in his attempts to get defender to the Camp Nou.

Finally on Valverde's list is former Barca youth product Hector Bellerin with the Arsenal right-back thought to be open to a move back home.

Bellerin is another who has faced constant links with the club and whilst it was previously thought it was unlikely his lack of form this season may have changed that.

Who do you think Barcelona should sign in the summer?
