Jose Mourinho's Former Player Wants To Reunite With Him At Manchester United

Jose Mourinho already boasts an impressive midfield with the likes of Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba. But it appears he could be set to bolster his options as one of his former players is keen on reuniting with him.

The Portuguese gaffer is also reportedly eyeing up Eric Dier though Spurs are holding out for a whopping £50 million. He's young and English, what else would expect.

Though reports are surfacing that one of his former Chelsea players is keen on linking up with him at Old Trafford this summer. Nemanja Matic is reportedly interested in playing under Mourinho once again via Metro.

After letting Matic go in 2011, Chelsea subsequently resigned him a few years later and he's helped guide The Blues to another Premier League title.

Matic has become a key member of Chelsea's midfield since returning to Stamford Bridge in 2014 forging a formidable partnership with diminutive Frenchman N'Golo Kante.

But while Antonio Conte strengthens his side ahead of the defence of their title, it appears the Italian boss will draft in a midfielder with the club heavily linked with the likes of AS Monaco star Tiemoué Bakayoko, and Lyon's Corentin Tolisso before losing out on him to Bayern Munich.

The 28-year-old's prospects of holding onto his starting position has come under threat and is considering a move away.

And it seems working under Mourinho could be a viable option. That's despite the incident which involved him hauling off Matic after just bringing the player on against Southampton in 2015.

As well as United, Juventus are also keen on Matic who have expressed an interest in snapping him up. The Italian outfit are hellbent on adding to their squad following more Champions League heartbreak.
