Marcus Rashford looks to end speculation about his future at Old Trafford with reports that he will sign a new £250,000-a-week deal at Manchester United.

There's just one year left on Marcus Rashford's contract, with an extra year option, at Manchester United and with Barcelona reportedly interested in the striker some might have been worried about his future.

United have been in long term talks with the striker and according to the Telegraph he will soon sign a new deal. The paper reports that the 21-year-old will earn £250k-a-week, making him one of the club's highest earners.

The England international became the team's first choice striker under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last season, getting ahead of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez in the pecking order.

There is a lot of speculation over the future of the other two forwards, with Lukaku reportedly wanting to go to Inter and the club wanting to get rid of Sanchez.

With that speculation Rashford has become even more important to the squad and had reportedly wanted parity with the club's top earners.

That new deal will put him close to them but Sanchez and Paul Pogba will remain ahead of him, with both their futures still in doubt.

Rashford hasn't quite put pen to paper on the new deal but it is expected to be done when the team return to pre-season training and they are hoping to announce the deal before they leave on their Australia tour on July 9th.

Next on the agenda for United, in terms of getting players to sign new contracts, will be David de Gea.

The goalkeeper had his poorest season at Old Trafford last season and has just one year left on his current deal in Manchester.

De Gea, who has won the club's Player of the Year award for four of the last six seasons, has also reportedly asked for parity with the club's top earners.

On Saturday United finally announced the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace to add to the signing of Daniel James earlier this month.

The Red Devils are expected to make at least two more signings with a midfielder and a defender high on their list of priorities.
