Manchester United have raised their asking price for Paul Pogba to £180 million after being left annoyed by the actions of the player's agent Mino Raiola.

A lot of what Manchester United do in the transfer market between now and the season starting at the beginning of August comes down to whether they sell Paul Pogba or not.

At the beginning of this month the player's agent, superagent Mino Raiola, claimed that the midfielder wanted to leave Old Trafford and according to the Star that public admission has made him more expensive.

The report claims that United have added another £30 million, up to £180 million, to the player's asking price after being 'angered' by Raiola's actions in public.

Speaking to the Times at the beginning of July the Dutchman, born in Italy, said, "Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul's wishes.

"Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are," sparking fears that he could move on in the summer.

Both former club Juventus or Real Madrid, who were the only two sides linked with the World Cup winner, has come forward with an official approach.

United were understood to want £150 million for the player who only returned to England, from Juventus, in 2016 for a club record £89 million.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn't want the 26-year-old, who he managed for United's Reserves in both sides last spell at the club, to leave this summer.

With that in mind and the large increase in transfer fees in the last two years, since Neymar moved to PSG from Barcelona, it's no wonder the Premier League side want such a huge fee for their most talented player.

It's likely that any deal to Real Madrid, who are thought to be the front runners, would also include players going the other way with Los Blancos having already invested heavily this summer.

United themselves have been given a huge price on a midfield target with reports that Newcastle United want £50 million for Sean Longstaff.

It would equal similar money to what they paid for right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace but Longstaff has played just eight Premier League games for the Magpies.

There could be a long and dramatic few weeks ahead for Solskjaer, Ed Woodward and the team in the transfer window, they'll want any deal for Pogba done with time to replace him.

Will Pogba stay or leave this summer?
