The Premier League club have started talks over a new deal from the Swedish striker but it won't be so easy to sign him.

He came, he saw, he kind of conquered, he got injured and then he left. So far that's the story of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's time in England. If it is to continue though Manchester United will have to fight off interest.

Last summer Manchester United finally made Zlatan Ibrahimovic a Premier League player after years of everyone hoping he'd grace England with his presence.

At 35 some felt the Swede was too old to be making his entrance into what is sometimes regarded as the toughest of the top five leagues in Europe.

However in typical Zlatan fashion he didn't actually find the whole thing too difficult at all, managing to take it all in his stride, scoring 17 goals in 28 Premier League games.

His season was cut short by an ACL injury in the Europa League quarter final and being out until December the club didn't renew his one year deal, making him without a team for the season.

Jose Mourinho has suggested all summer that the former PSG striker could get a new deal at Old Trafford and earlier this week it was reported that talks between the parties had started.

But it won't be that simple to re-sign the club's leading scorer from last season with the Telegraph reporting that they face serious competition from AC Milan.

Should the Swede decide that his future lies in Milan then it would be his fourth stint in Italy and the third time that he'd rocked up at the San Siro.

The former Ajax striker played for Juventus for two seasons before their relegation, he then moved to Inter Milan for three seasons and after his stint at Barcelona he played for the Rossoneri.

The striker has also had offers in America with LA Galaxy and LA FC, the new franchise, both being interested in him.

Where will Ibrahimovic be once he recovers from injury?
