Pep Guardiola knows he has a lot to do to turn his Manchester City team into Premier League challengers. As well as signing players that will include selling one player who only joined last summer
Last summer many of us thought the title race would have been between the two Manchester clubs but hindsight shows us they're both a long way off being title challengers.

Pep Guardiola may have brought with him a lot of optimism to the Etihad Stadium but it's clear they've been lacking in quality, especially in defence.
This season City have spent £181 million to strengthen their team but they'll clearly need to spend more this summer but it won't be without selling players too.
And, according to Spanish media outlets Canal Sur and Onda Betica, one of the players leaving the north west looks to be forward Nolito who only joined last summer.

Reports in Spain reckon that the player and Real Betis have already agreed terms and that it's only a 'matter of time' before City agree a deal with the La Liga side.
Betis are said to have decided to move quickly on the forward after learning that rivals Sevilla were thinking of making a move for the Spanish international.
Early in the season Nolito was used quite regularly by Guardiola with the former Barcelona player used behind Sergio Aguero in attack.

Nolito was ahead of Kelechi Iheanacho in the pecking order at the Etihad and replaced Aguero when the Argentinian was out of action due to a suspension early in the season.
However despite scoring four goals early in the campaign the 30 year old hasn't started a game since the turn of the year and it looks unlikely his stay in England will be longer than a year.
He will move back to his home country to try and earn a spot in Spain's team for the World Cup next year.
Certainly not one of Guardiola's best signings.
