Liverpool have already made contact with Adrien Rabiot's representatives over a possible free transfer from PSG to the Premier League next season with the midfielder's contract due to expire in May.
Last season was an improvement from Liverpool, no doubt, as they finished inside the top four an reached the final of the Champions League but the biggest problem for them seemed to be a lack of quality behind the first XI, especially in midfield.
In the summer Jurgen Klopp tried to change this and signed Naby Keita and Fabinho for the midfield. The former has had an incredible start to life in England's top tier but Fabinho is yet to make it into the match day squad.
Liverpool have had a great start to the season and find themselves at the top of the table after a perfect reord of four wins in four and a goal difference of eight, one better than Chelsea in second.

However Klopp clearly isn't resting on his laurels just yet with ESPN reporting that he's trying to tie up a big move for next season.
The website reports that the Reds have been in contact with PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot's agent, who happens to be his mum, over a potential free transfer in the summer and that Klopp and the player have spoken.
The 23 year old was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer but the Ligue 1 champions weren't willing to let the midfielder leave.

Instead Thomas Tuchel's side wanted Rabiot to sign a new deal, with his contract set to expire in May 2019, but so far the player has refused to sign a new deal despite the threat of him being dropped.
Liverpool can't agree terms with the former Manchester City youngster just yet but in January he will be free to negotiate with clubs.
Rabiot is an admirer of the Anfield club and told radio station RMC, "I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young."

That would be another excellent addition to the Reds squad but they'll no doubt face competition from Barcelona and other clubs.
