Romelu Lukaku hasn't had a good season at Manchester United but that could soon becoming to an end with Juventus reportedly eyeing a move for the Belgian as a possible replacement to their current striker.

Not much has gone right at Old Trafford over the last few months and there are few teams who could really hold their heads high with their output on the pitch under Jose Mourinho.

Romelu Lukaku might have been one of the most underperforming players. Whilst others were often dropped despite any good form the former Chelsea striker often survived in the team even throughout bad form.

This season Lukaku has only scored six goals in 16 appearances in the Premier League and has been struggling for form and confidence in front of goal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping to get more out of the 25 year old when he returns from compassionate leave but the forward's longer term future may not be at Old Trafford.

According to Calciomercato Lukaku is actually a target for Italian champions Juventus. They may be stacked up front but with Mario Mandzukic reaching 33 at the end of the season the Old Lady are looking for a long term replacement.

Lukaku isn't the first United player to be linked with a move from Old Trafford to the Juventus Stadium with Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial also recently linked.

The two men have both been unhappy at United in recent times under Jose Mourinho and it wouldn't have been a surprise to see them leave if Mourinho had stayed.

Now that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken over, and they'll be a new boss in the summer, there is more chance of both men staying.

Martial recently had a one year extension activated on his contract but is yet to sign a new deal, even though a five year contract is on the table.

Juve are once again in relentless pursuit of the Serie A title and lead by eight points in the league already.

They signed Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer as they attempt to make a big impact in the Champions League, looking to win it for the first time since 1996.
