Yep guys, it's that time again when we talk about something and Neymar has to be involved. This time it's Julian Draxler's turn and the one place he wanted to move to.
Julian Draxler is a bloody good footballer. Three times now Arsene Wenger has wanted to sign the German but then that hardly sets him out from the rest of the world.
This summer the former Schalke player saw his position in the PSG team under threat because Unai Emery's team spent a hell of a lot of money on Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Those signings made it seem likely that the French capital side would have to sell someone and Draxler was on the slate to be moved on but alas it never happened.
Instead the transfer window came and went and the German was stuck in Paris, admittedly there's worse places to be 'stuck', especially when a pile of cash to play football every week.
According to Mundo Deportivo there was only one place Draxler wanted to go and that was Barcelona with the player's agent even flying out there twice to negotiate a move.

According to the report the player and his agent believed that Barca would get frustrated with an inability to sign Philippe Coutinho and his own teammate Angel di Maria and they might turn to him instead.
But instead the La Liga club didn't add any body else to their squad after the move for Ousmane Dembele, instead not giving up on a player who was never going to move in Coutinho.

In the end Emery's side decided against selling Draxler after selling Blaise Matuidi to Juventus and loaning Grzegorz Krychowiak to West Brom, seeing a place for the German in midfield.
The 23 year-old was apparently annoyed at the idea that he could be sold after winning the Player of the Tournament award at the Confederations Cup in the summer.
Draxler is clearly too good to stay on the bench for too long, so Arsene Wenger will have another chance to not sign him!
