Huddersfield Town are already favourites to be relegated from the Premier League at the first time of asking but David Wagner wants to stop that with the signing of a Premier League striker.

Huddersfield Town landed themselves in the Premier League for the first time after beating Reading in the Championship play-off at Wembley on Monday following a penalty shoot-out.

The one downside for the Yorkshire side is that they are instantly being written off as not good enough for the best league in England and possibly Europe.

Of course that will make them determined to prove everyone wrong but it is going to be difficult having come through the play-offs with a minus two goal difference in the league.

So David Wagner's team will certainly need a bit more fire power when the season kicks off at the beginning of August.

And according to reports the former colleague of Jurgen Klopp has his eyes set on recruiting former Manchester United youngster Fraizer Campbell to help the team achieve the goal of staying up.

The 29 year-old has been with Crystal Palace in the Premier League since 2014 but his contract runs out in the next few weeks and his deal is unlikely to be renewed.

This season the Englishman didn't start a single Premier League game and scored just one league goal in his 12 substitute appearances.

The Terriers would be getting a striker with plenty of experience in the division if they did sign Campbell as he has played for five clubs in the Premier League.

He started his career at Old Trafford but moved to Spurs on loan as part of the deal that took Dimitar Berbatov in the opposite direction.

He later had spells with Sunderland and Cardiff City in the Premier League before his move to Selhurst Park three seasons ago.

Campbell hasn't exactly been prolific during his time in the top tier and has only bagged 18 goals in 11 seasons in his career.

Who should Huddersfield sign?
