Hibernian Officially Complete Deal To Sign Juventus Player

While Juventus monitor new signings ahead of the upcoming new season, they also are getting rid of players deemed surplus to requirement which includes a transfer to the Scottish Premier League.

Hibernian have been very busy in this summer window. Neil Lennon has already snapped up six new players while seeing nine players leave the club through being sold or released.

Among the new additions is striker Deivydas Matulevicius. And the club have now secured their seventh signing since the end of the season in the shape of Juventus' Vykintas Slivka.

The 22-year-old joins the Scottish club for an undisclosed fee with the deal subject to international clearance.

He's put pen-to-paper on a three year deal and is very happy to have signed for Hibernian.

"I am very happy to have signed for Hibernian,"Slivka told the clubs website.

"This is another step in my career and I am really excited to be joining the club," he added.

He's relishing the prospect on plying his trade in Britain, and has been given a taste of the style of football following the international match between Scotland and England.

"The international matches against Scotland and England have given me a taste of the British style of football, and now I can't wait to get started."

"I am looking forward to meeting the squad and getting ready for the new season."

The Lithuanian midfielder was snapped up by Juventus in 2014. Though he has experienced a bunch of loan spells and failed to break into the side.

Slivka was loaned out to Modena, Gorica, Den Bosch and Ascoli before eventually signing a permanent deal with Hibs.

He's represented his county on the international scene, playing qualifiers against both Scotland and England.
