He was subject to plenty of transfer speculation, but former Manchester United winger Nani arrived in Roma on Thursday evening ahead of a move to Lazio.

Lazio posted a video of the 30-year old posing with a Lazio scarf at Ciampino Airport in the Italian capital, while images of him holding his new colours have emerged online:

Just over two weeks ago, we told you how Spanish outlet MARCA noted that Turkish outfit Fenerbahce, whom Nani played for 47 times in 2015/16, scoring 12 times after signing, were hopeful of bringing the Sporting CP youth product back to the club on loan.

However it's Lazio who look to have secured his signature, with Sky Italia, via the Daily Mail, saying that Lazio take Nani on loan for a fee of €8 million (£7.3 million) and have an option or obligation to make the move permanent.

Nani made 25 appearances in La Liga for Valencia last term, but having been back on the mend from a knee injury suffered in pre-season training, he was not part of the Valencia squad for their first two La Liga games of the season against Las Palmas and Real Madrid.

Once his medical and other formalities have been completed, Nani will become Simeone Inzaghi's sixth signing of the summer in what will be the Portuguese international's sixth career move, and the fifth club he will have signed for.
