Jack Wilshere's career has not gone according to plan up until now. With the 25 year-old recovering from yet another injury there is one club interested in signing him but will their bid be enough to interest Arsenal?

When he first came on the scene Wilshere was the next big thing, a talent like England's midfield hadn't seen since Paul Gascoigne was in the centre of the park for the national side.

He first made a proper splash in the Premier League on loan at Bolton aged just 18 and really impressed, enough to get into the Arsenal starting line up on his return to the Emirates for the 2010/11 season.

The midfielder made his debut for England that August becoming the 10th youngest player to wear the Three Lions. There's been no doubt since then of his talents but due to injuries they've mainly been wasted.

Fans of the midfielder would have been hoping a loan move to Bournemouth would change or that but things didn't go according to plan and he's back at Arsenal again.

According to the Daily Mail Italian side Sampdoria have contacted the Gunners over the availability of the 25 year-old but are worried they won't get their man because they're only willing to spend £9 million on him.

Last summer, before he moved the south coast with the Cherries, the England international had the chance to move to Italy with both AC Milan and AS Roma interested in taking him for the year,

Milan have since moved on to some rather bigger targets after being taken over by a Chinese consortium and are currently working on the transfer of Leonardo Bonucci.

Roma have lost Luciano Spalletti to Inter so their interest may have ended.

Wilshere is once again recovering from an injury after breaking his leg whilst on loan at the Vitality Stadium and only has one year left on his deal at the Emirates.

You feel like something has to change if he's ever going to live up to his promise.

Will that be a move to Italy?
