Arsenal's £25 million bid for Kieran Tierney has been rejected by Celtic in the latest blow to the Gunners' plans in the summer transfer window.

Unai Emery is struggling in the transfer window and there's more for the Arsenal boss and their fans to worry about with the latest knockback in the transfer market.

According to Sky Sports, Arsenal's latest bid for Celtic left back Kieran Tierney, which was made on Friday, has been rejected.

The Premier League side are thought to have offered £25 million for the Scotland left back but the Scottish champions were unhappy with the structure of the deal, wanting less of the money in bonuses and more of it straight up.

The 22-year-old's contract at Celtic Park runs until 2023, leaving the Hoops under no pressure to sell the player unless someone meets their valuation.

Sky go on to report that Serie A side Napoli, who have also shown an interest in fellow Kieran, Spurs Trippier, are also interested in the Scotland player.

Arsenal's bid for Tierney is the second one they've had for the player and they are expected to continue talks with his club but they will have to be on improved terms.

Arsenal's failure to finish inside the Premier League top four last season and their loss in the Europa League final has left them without Champions League football for next season.

That has reportedly left boss Unai Emery with just £45 million to spend in the transfer window, on a team that clearly needs improving.

The north London side are reportedly interested in Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha but Palace are thought to be holding out for around £80 million, especially having already lost Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.

The Gunners were dealt another transfer blow last week. They had been expected to sign young St Etienne defender William Saliba for around €30 million and they player had reportedly agreed terms with them.

However it was reported on the weekend that Spurs had offered the Ligue 1 side more money for the player and may hijack the bid.

Arsenal are now on tour in America and there is just 27 days until their Premier League season starts. Can they buy the players they need before then?
