Over the weekend Francesco Totti called time on his AS Roma career, and it'll only be a few more years till another Serie A legend eventually calls it quits, too.

Juventus will have huge gloves to fill when Gianluigi Buffon retires from the beautiful game but Iker Casillas has named the keeper they should draft in to replace him.

The Spanish stopper and Buffon enjoy a brilliant bromance with Casillas now plying his trade in Portugal with Porto following a remarkable career at Real Madrid.

And while he heads into the latter end of his career as well, Casillas has urged Juventus to sign Gigi Donnarumma from AC Milan.

"They should take Donnarumma." He told La Gazzetta dello Sport via Squawka.

Even devising a plan which includes loaning him out until Buffon retires.

"Leave him on loan for a year or two until Gigi retires and then bring him to Turin. If I were to bet on a young goalkeeper it would be him."

Continuing by praising the AC Milan starlet for the ability he possess at such a young age.

"There's no-one else in Europe, there isn't another 18-year-old with so many qualities. Obviously he still has to mature for a year or two, but his qualities are obvious."

Donnarumma has burst onto the scene as one of the most talented prospects in the game, and arguably the finest budding keeper.

Despite his tender age, the youngster has already become the face of the fallen European giants though his future at the iconic San Siro is under intense speculation.

The 18-year-old remains heavily linked with a move away for the Italian capital with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City keeping tabs on him.

Not to mention Real Madrid, among others, with a huge transfer fee slapped on his head.

Meanwhile, Buffon is hoping to add his first Champions League winners medal on Saturday as his side face Real Madrid for the coveted European prize.

Juventus have already secured the league and cup title as they seek for an impressive treble.
