If you've forgotten just how long the summer without football and the transfer window has actually felt think back to when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was going to sign for PSG. He could still be on his way out at Borussia Dortmund.
Yes it's easy to forget but way back at the beginning of the transfer window the Gabonese striker leaving the Bundesliga to sign for PSG was a 'huge' £70 million deal that was about to be done.
At that moment the French club decided to change their director of football and thus the direction their transfers were going to go. Little did we know at that point that spending £70 million on him would be a relative bargain by the end of August.

Since then the talk of Aubameyang leaving have quietened whilst PSG have made the most noise in the market by signing Neymar for £198 million and being on the verge of adding Kylian Mbappe for another £164 million!
However Aubameyang has once again kicked off talk that he could move on before the summer is out by admitting that he is still considering leaving the Westfalenstadion. The player said, via the Independent:

"I am still reflecting on whether I should leave or not. This is the question I keep on asking myself - and I don't have an answer. I need time to think about it. If I want to grow, I surely need to leave this summer. I am 28 and I need to grow. If I leave, it will only be somewhere I would play regularly."

According to the newspaper the player wanting out at Dortmund could alert both Liverpool and Chelsea who have previously linked with a move for the player.

Should Liverpool finally accept an offer from Barca for Coutinho then they'd do a lot worse than spending it on the former AC Milan player, who has also been linked with a return there.

Can this transfer window just end already?!
