All summer we've been expecting Alexis Sanchez to be some part of domino effect in the transfer window. But with no movement on his transfer Arsenal have offered him a huge deal to try and stay.
The transfer window has been a pretty exciting place all summer, even if some of the stories have dragged a little, but there's been no huge moment that made everything explode as we expected.
When Neymar left for PSG we expected that Coutinho would be instantly off to Barcelona, Kylian Mbappe would move to Real, Gareth Bale would go to Manchester United and Alexis Sanchez would be off to City.

Sure some of those moves might still happen but I was kind of hoping it would all happen within days of the initial move, and there'd be more on top too.
The potential Sanchez move has been in the shadows all summer with the Chilean only having one year left on his deal and Manchester City and PSG ready to pounce.
Arsene Wenger has never given up hope of keeping the forward though and according to the Daily Mail the club have now offered the player a £300k-a-week contract.

Sanchez has seemingly wanted to be paid closer to what he's worth and also wanted to win more trophies, hence is dissatisfaction with life at the Emirates.
Initially the Gunners had offered the 28 year old £225k-a-week and had looked nowhere near getting him to sign the new deal.
The new contract on the table would put Sanchez near the top of the Premier League's earners with the likes of Paul Pogba.

Pep Guardiola has been desperate all summer to get his hands on Sanchez but has also seemingly been willing to wait a year when he'd be able to get the former Barcelona man on a free.
PSG's signing of Neymar hasn't slowed down their interest in another striker with Kylian Mbappe their other target.
