Just two days after winning the FA Cup and one day after confirming that he signed a new deal at the Emirates Arsene Wenger has bought the first player of his latest deal.

So we finally know that Arsene Wenger will be Arsenal manager for the next two years, to the detriment of Piers Morgan's mental health- but it's okay, he'll man up.

The Frenchman has spent pretty much the entirety of 2017 trolling all the Arsenal fans, and everyone in the press room too, by teasing everyone over the state of his contract talks.

But inevitably the long suffering and even longer serving Arsenal boss decided to do what everyone figured he probably would and stubbornly stay put at the Emirates for another two seasons.

Now Wenger has to start the building process over the summer to try and get the team into a position to win the league for the first time since the Invincibles of 2004.

According to reports the Gunners have already wrapped up their first signing of the summer with an accepted £6.8 million bid to sign striker Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side KAS Eupen.

For many years Wenger was mocked for becoming a parody of himself by signing youngsters from Europe, usually France, when they were totally unknown.

Then a run of signing the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Petr Cech kind of got rid of that with big money moves that actually seemed to make sense.

But the 67 year old has returned to a bygone era by making a move for the teenager playing in Belgium as Onyekuru is just 19.

However this season the Nigerian has bagged himself 24 goals and provided 19 assists for his team, an extremely good haul.

The player is reportedly weighing up his options because he would like first team football and there's a good chance that isn't guaranteed at Arsenal.
