Arda Turan may well have played his last game for FC Barcelona.

The Turkey captain has just returned to the club with a hamstring injury suffered on international duty but reports have emerged saying that the 30-year old is set for a two-year loan to boyhood club Galatasaray.

Turan has been subject to intense speculation linking him with an exit from the Nou Camp, and now RAC1 are reporting he is heading back to his beloved Gala, where he came through the ranks and made his debut in 2005.

Though the Spanish transfer window for signing players shut on September 1, the window in Turkey closes later on tonight and the national team's skipper looks set to be returning to the Turkish Super Lig.

Turan, who arrived at Barcelona from Atletico Madrid for a fee of €34 million, plus €7 million in add-ons, in 2015 but had to wait until January 2016 to make his official debut because of the transfer ban imposed on the Catalan club, hasn't made a single appearance this season and was excluded completely from the squad for games against Real Madrid and Alaves.

He does not appear to be in Ernesto Valverde's plans and is being allowed to leave the club after only one full season as a Blaugrana player.

By the time his loan deal with Galatasaray is due to finish, Turan will have one year remaining on the five year deal he signed in 2015, but chances are that he won't ever wear the Blaugrana shirt again.

Here's how fans have reacted on social media:

Turan has made a total of 55 appearances for Barca after joining the club, scoring 15 times.

Another poor bit of business from Barca?

Sound off in the comments.
