Is there any value left to be had in the transfer window? Fees are so high right now that it seems like you can only get good players for ridiculous prices. So AC Milan's latest piece of business might be the bargain of the century.
Manchester United paid an initial £75 million for Romelu Lukaku, Manchester City are on the verge of signing Kyle Walker for £55 million and Swansea have rejected £40 million offers for Gylfi Sigurdsson.
The real proof that transfer prices have taken on a whole new dimension this summer is the fact that Jordan Ibe's £15 million move last summer no longer seems absurd in the slightest, we've entered a new stratosphere of transfer prices.

That's why everything has to be viewed differently these days, a defender going for £30 million is just what you expect a quality team to pay for a quality player.
AC Milan have had a very good summer in the transfer window as their new owners try to awaken the sleeping European giant. And according to reports in Italy they've been told by Italian champions Juventus that it will cost them just €40 million to sign Leonardo Bonucci:
The news might prick the ears of Manchester City and Chelsea with Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte, who has twice managed Bonucci before, having both shown interest in the Italian centre-back.

However it is believed that the 30 year-old wants to stay in his home country, at least partially because of his son's health issues, and Juve are willing to sell as long at their valuation is met.

The move would be an absolute bargain for Milan and the Rossoneri are already having a fantastic summer as far as their signings are concerned.

Vincenzo Montella's side have already signed Andre Silva, Andrea Conti, Hakan Calhanoglu, Mateo Musacchio, Ricardo Rodriguez and Franck Kessie this summer as well as signing Gianluigi Donnarumma to a new contract.
Could they threaten Juve for the title?
