Yet Another Lionel Messi Stat Shows Just How Great He Is

The thing about Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is that no one ever compares them and there isn't a load of fan boys for each one ready and armed with loads of stats to prove why they're the best. Well here's another for the Messi fanboys.

In case you weren't aware Lionel Messi is quite good at football. Look, I know it's hardly an original or hilarious line but when people say they've 'started to run out of ways to describe Lionel Messi' they aren't lying.

It's almost unfortunate for the Barcelona superstar, and Cristiano Ronaldo for that matter, that the two of them exist at the same time and are constantly being compared and argued about.

Why can't we just enjoy them both and say they're both fucking great at football?

Awkwardly the stat I'm writing about is literally comparing the world's best two footballers. Because it seems that Messi is just more efficient at shooting than his mortal enemy, which suggests that he's also a better striker. Don't shoot the messenger, unless you're Ronaldo as you're more likely to miss...

So there you go Messi fans your boy can now go on the worst run a striker has had since Emile Heskey was playing international football for England and he'd still be on more goals than Ronaldo.

Of course Real's very own wonderboy isn't a stranger to these kind of stats. When he broke Raul's goal scoring record for Los Blancos he did it in 310 games to the Spaniard's 741 games for one less goal.

I've made a mistake here in praising Ronaldo in an article that is supposed to be about Lionel Messi, last time I did that one the fanboys hunted me down on Twitter so guys, please don't @ me.

Messi is bloody good, we kind of know that by now though right.
