The Star Sixes tournament at the O2 Arena in London finished yesterday, and it was France who went all the way - blitzing Spain in the semi-finals before narrowly beating surprise package Denmark, with goals coming from Ludovic Giuly and Youri Djorkaeff enough win the inaugural competition.
Over the course of the tournament, football legends from across the globe have been proving that they've most definitely still got it, and it's made for wonderful viewing.
And on the final day yesterday, Robert Pires got his piece of the limelight when he completely rinsed Carles Puyol in a video that Phil Neville is probably replaying over and over again after being on the receiving end of a horror tackle from the former Barcelona skipper on the opening night.
The former Arsenal No.7 skippered France to the Star Sixes trophy and was one of the top performers in the competition.
His highlight was undoubtedly the owning of Puyol in the semi-final clash. France won 5-2 and the goal that put Les Bleus 3-0 up and flying was a joy to watch.
Having collected the ball deep on the right, Pires produced a gorgeous drop of the shoulder - leading to Puyol tackling thin air and ending up on his arse. Pires would then make the most of the space he created, dribbling down the flank and squaring for Vincent Candela to slot home.
