Manchester United's tour of the United States is going swimmingly following the back-to-back victories against LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake.

After comfortably beating LA Galaxy 5-2 over the weekend, Jose Mourinho's charges where made to work last night as they faced RSL.

The hosts went ahead but United equalised in brilliant fashion. Romelu Lukaku provided a glimpse of his ability to hold up the ball by exchanging passes with Jesse Lingard.

With his first touch the midfielder found Henrikh Mkhitaryan who executed a delightful hard low drive into the bottom corner.

United faithfuls will be hoping for more of the same in the upcoming season.

As well as scoring, he also turned provided to set up Lukaku's eventual match winner.

Meanwhile, the winger reviewed last season by detailing his delight to be in the Champions League after winning the Europa League.

"We worked so hard to win the competition and now we are really looking forward to being back in the Champions League. We always aim to win in every game and let's hope things will go in our way in every competition," Mkhitaryan told Manchester Evening News.

"We are a team that has Champions League in its DNA," he added.

"Manchester United is the Champions League and the Champions League is Manchester United."

The 28-year-old endured a frustrating start to life as a Manchester United player after being publically called out by Mourinho. But the Armenian was eventually given his chance to shine, and he did churning impressive performances domestically and in Europe.

Mkhitaryan continues to learn as he hopes to improve his overall game.

"I am still learning every day and there are no limits to my future improvement," he added. "I will continue working as hard as I always have throughout my career."

"As a player, as well as an individual, I have my personal ambitions."

Next up for Mkhitaryan and Co. is a tasty 'friendly' against Manchester City in the early hours of Friday morning.
