The Moment N'Golo Kante Received His Legion Of Honour Medal

The Chelsea midfielder and his France teammates were being awarded the highest medal for military or civil for their World Cup win.

N'Golo Kante and his France teammates picked up their Legion of Honour medals for winning last summer's World Cup on Tuesday and as usual the midfielder looked humble receiving an award.

There's very little doubt that N'Golo Kante counts as one of the good guys in football and there aren't many footballers as universally liked as the Chelsea and France midfielder.

Kante was likeable pretty much as soon as he landed in England being part of the Leicester City Premier League winning side just two years after playing in Ligue 2 with Caen.

Whether it's revealing his favourite food is pizza, popping up pretty much everywhere on the pitch, being humble enough to say his teammates deserve plaudits more than he does, driving a Mini Cooper or dressing like Batman there isn't much he does that doesn't make us smile.

Last year he was a hugely important part of the France team that won the World Cup in Russia, winning for the first time since 1998, and today him and his teammates were honoured.

Kante looked on with his usual humble and awkward look as French president Emmanuel Macron pinned the Legion Of Honour medal onto the Chelsea player:

One of the best moments of last summer's World Cup came after France had beaten Croatia 4-2 in the final.

The players were celebrating with the trophy. A number of the team had a moment with the trophy in front of a group of photographers but Kante wasn't one of them.

Such was his nature that Steven N'Zonzi had to ask Florian Thauvin to let the former Leicester City player be next:

The 28 year old's form, and style of play, allowed Paul Pogba to be at his best during last summer's World Cup and helped proved that the Manchester United man can be effective with a midfield two.

Kante really is the kind of player that makes us want to be better people.
