Robin van Persie showed that his class lies off the pitch as well as on it on Sunday when he spent time to make sure he shook every mascot's hand before Feyenoord's game against Groningen at the weekend.

No one's ever doubted Robin van Persie's brilliance on the pitch, his goal against Spain in the World Cup is one of the greatest goals scored in a World Cup, don't @ me.

After his spell in England with Arsenal and then Manchester United, where he helped secure the Red Devils most recent Premier League title, he moved to Turkey with Fenerbahce.

After two and a half years in the Super Lig he returned to Netherlands to complete his career with Feyenoord, where it all began for the 35 year old.

He scored five goals in 12 games on his return and this season his form has got even better and the captain is leading from the front with 10 goals in 15 league games.

On Sunday they faced Groningen away and before kick off Van Persie was spotted making sure every mascot got a handshake, and some even got a hug.

Well played Robin!
