In 10 years, Luis Suarez has become one of the greatest players in world football. He excelled at Ajax, lit up Liverpool and has been utterly sensational at Barcelona.

Naturally, as he has improved, so too have his ratings on FIFA. And with him being a more well-known commodity, his game-face has improved considerably.

Starting at FIFA 07, we've looked at how Suarez has developed through the years.

FIFA 07:

Suarez was yet to really make a name for himself in football and when at Gronigen, he was a measly 61 rating. His game-face does not look like him at all, in fact he looks like a young Pablo Escobar in this game.

Praise the lord for modern technology.

FIFA 08:

Ajax snapped him up and a 20-year old Suarez was given a 72 rating on FIFA 08. Again, his game-face is pretty dodgy but at least he's lost the moustache for this one.

FIFA 09:

Suarez saw his rating go up by two to 74 in FIFA 09, a season in which he scored an impressive 22 goals in 31 league games for the Dutch Giants. His ball control was rated 80 - which was quite a compliment for a 21-year old playing in the Eredivisie.

FIFA 10:

Luis was quite rightly rewarded for his fine form with a much improved rating when FIFA 10 rolled around. He got an 82 rating and possessed 87 dribbling ability. You would have had some fun jinking in between defenders with FIFA 10's version of Suarez.

FIFA 11:

Suarez's rating stayed the same on FIFA 11, remaining at 82 with the potential to reach 88 in career mode. The striker had hit 100 goals for Ajax that season.

FIFA 12:

Suarez was ruining Premier League defenders by the time FIFA 12 came out and he was given an 86 rating for the game. A combination of 87 ball control and 89 dribbling made him an absolute animal going forward.

FIFA 13:

The same rating remained a year later, except several of his statistics improved such as his dribbling - which climbed to an incredible 91. Nutmegs galore in real life, nutmegs galore in the game.

FIFA 14:

Suarez was vastly becoming of the most gifted strikers in world football - evidenced in his 89 rating in FIFA 14. It was this year that Liverpool went mightily close to winning the Premier League, with Suarez winning the PFA Player Of The Year and winning the Golden Boot after his 31-goal campaign.

FIFA 15:

Now at Barcelona, Suarez's rating stayed the same. Another year on, even a different league, Suarez was terrorising defenders on a regular basis, both in real life and on FIFA.

FIFA 16:

Suarez reached the big 90 on FIFA 16 and boasted some incredibly attacking abilities in the game, including 87 volleys, 84 free-kick accuracy, 85 long shots, 88 shot power and 90 finishing - making him utterly unplayable.

FIFA 17:

This year's version of the franchise saw Suarez climb up two places to 92, the same rating as his Barca compatriot Neymar and just one below Lionel Messi.

Suarez's evolution as a footballer and in this game is testament to his remarkable rise and also the monumental improvement of graphics and technology in the FIFA series.
