Liverpool Fans And Players Singing You'll Never Walk Alone Is Spine Tingling

Hope in their hearts was all Liverpool fans had before kick off on Tuesday night but by full time they were singing those lyrics with the players they cheered on for 90 minutes of a historic Champions League night against Barcelona.

There's something special when the evening air of a Champions League night at Anfield is filled with 50,000 people singing You'll Never Walk Alone in unison and Tuesday night was no different.

No one really gave Liverpool much of a chance, if any, of going through to the Champions League final on Tuesday after their 3-0 loss in Barcelona a week before but throughout the fans in Anfield had hope.

Divock Origi's early goal made the comeback seem possible before Georginio Wijnaldum's brace after half time put the Reds level in the tie with over half an hour left to grab the winner.

With 11 minutes to go Trent Alexander Arnold's quick thinking led to Origi putting in the fourth of the night and the Reds were into the final.

The scenes inside Anfield were incredible and the fans and players sung together in a goosebump inducing moment:

You can't help but feel a bit sorry for Reds' captain Jordan Henderson who was busy being interviewed when the players were singing with the fans.

Des Kelly is very lucky that the midfielder didn't just sod off mid chat to join all his teammates.

Liverpool had to play the second leg without Mo Salah or Roberto Firmino, with both men out injured, and having been dealt a cruel blow in their Premier League title race the night before after Vincent Kompany's incredible winner against Leicester.

But they overcame all of that helped by the incredible crowd, to book their place in the final in Madrid on June 1st where they will face either Spurs or Ajax.

Hope in their heart and singing like larks, there certainly was no walking alone for Liverpool's players on Tuesday night.
