WATCH: Lionel Messi Made A Kid's Dream Come True After Security Stop Him

The Barcelona and Argentina superstar wasn't happy with security sending the kid away so he made sure they got him back.

They say you should never meet your heroes but if your hero happens to be Lionel Messi then you absolutely should try and meet him. And by the looks of it he'll make sure you get the chance.

Personally if I could be any footballer for the day I'd probably pick Gerard Pique but then the Barcelona defender is married to Shakira.

Going on nothing but footballing reasons it would obviously be between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and no doubt kids throughout the world run around the playground pretending to be the pair on a daily basis.

As a kid we all try to recreate our heroes when we play football, I can remember wheeling away from the goal with my arm raised like Alan Shearer and doing the double first pump like Andy Cole.

The only other better feeling than pretending to be your hero is meeting them and getting their autographs. One young fan tried to do exactly that with Messi but was turned away by security.

Fortunately the Barcelona forward wasn't too happy with that outcome so he called the kid back, signed an autograph for him and took a photo:

This season Messi is likely to have to do even more work at Barcelona than in previous seasons to keep them at the top of the league, or near the top.

Real Madrid are clearly a level above their fierce rivals right now, something not helped by Neymar's departure this summer. But if one man can carry a team then it is Messi.

The Argentinian scored both goals in Barca's league win over Alaves, their second 2-0 win of the season, and will be hoping from more help during the season, especially now Ousmane Dembele has signed.

Messi is now on international duty as Argentina attempt to qualify for the World Cup in Russia next summer. They take on Uruguay away in the early hours of Friday morning and then Venezuela at home in the early hours of Wednesday.
