Leeds United have raised £200,000 to pay for the treatment for five-year old fan Toby Nye.
The youngster is suffering from neuroblastoma, the rare form of cancer that sadly claimed the life of the heroic Bradley Lowery.
Chairman Andrea Radrizzani was deeply moved by the story and immediately got behind the cause. Through a substantial donation from the Italian, funds raised by Leeds supporters as well as players and staff donating a day's salary to go towards an intense course of treatment, the sum quickly reached £175,000.
And the final £25,000 was pledged by Leeds' Spanish player Samuel Saiz, meaning the full £200,000 has been raised.
Leeds United Managing Director Angus Kinnear expressed his pride at everyone involved with the club coming together for Toby.

"We talk about family and togetherness a lot at our club, it's a culture we have been determined to reinstate across everyone involved with Leeds and raising this money has truly been a team effort," he told the Leeds United website.
"Staff, players, corporate partners and our supporters have united together to give Toby the best opportunity with further treatment and I am incredibly proud of everyone concerned."
Leeds say Toby will be in attendance for the game against Millwall on Saturday before he starts his treatment next week.

Well played, Leeds United. Here's hoping the treatment is successful and little Toby pulls through.
