Dele Alli had a mixed World Cup on the pitch as form and fitness didn't allow him to show his full potential but after the tournament he's shown his class off the pitch with a great gesture for his friends.

During England's opening game of the World Cup against Tunisia Dele Alli picked up an injury, it stopped him from taking part in the side's last two Group Games but he returned in time for the knockout stages.

Against Sweden in the quarter finals Alli was on the scoresheet as he helped get the Three Lions into their first World Cup semi-final since 1990.

Despite and up and down tournament at 22 the Spurs midfielder is a major part of England's future and already has experience of two international tournaments having also been to the Euros in France.

There is no doubting his class on the ball and now there's no doubt about his class off the pitch too.

As per the Mirror the Spurs man has taken three of his friends on an all expenses paid holiday after his World Cup excursion.

The newspaper reports that he's taken former teammate Harry Hickford, the pair played together at MK Dons. Alli moved into Hickford's family home at the age of 13 and the pair are 'like brothers.'

Hickford posted a picture of the group, also including Enfield Town player Aaron Greene, on their private jet on Instagram:

A source told the newspaper about the trip saying, "Dele's had a great year and he wants to top it all off by taking his mates on the holiday of a lifetime. Despite all his success, he's still a normal guy who has kept the same friends for years.

"They were planning on booking up a luxury penthouse in LA, where they will spend five days relaxing and shopping, in a place where nobody will know Dele.

"After that they're heading to Ibiza - and Dele's paying for it all. It's going to cost many, many thousands all in.

"...They booked a private plane on Tuesday evening. It's not something most of the lads will have experienced before so he's really treating them.

"It shows he's a normal guy that he's still so close to his non-famous mates. That's one of the reasons people have taken to this England team."

Alli will soon be back in training for Spurs next season but for now he's definitely deserved this holiday.

What a lovely guy.
