Atletico Madrid and France forward Antoine Griezmann turns 26 today and even without reaching his peak years yet, he's developed into a player who isn't far off the level that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are on.

He was the top scorer and Player of the Tournament in Euro 2016 as France reached the final but were beaten by Portugal in the final and Griezmann's form was marked by him coming third in the Ballon d'Or voting.

And as he has come on leaps and bounds as a player, his rise in real life has coincided with a quite remarkable evolution on the FIFA series.

As has been the case for a number of players, Griezmann's ratings and statistics have soared to the point where he is now one of the top players on the game.

Using data compiled from both FIFA Index and Fut Wiz, we chart the rise of Griezmann on FIFA from his very first appearance.

FIFA 10:

Griezmann made his video game debut in FIFA 10 as an 18-year old playing as a reserve for Real Sociedad.

At this point, a young Griezmann was relatively unknown and that was showcased in the fact that he was rated 58 on the game, with the potential of reaching 75.

His stats were also underwhelming, with 74 sprint speed the only noteworthy area.

FIFA 11:

After helping Real Sociedad to promotion to La Liga in 2009/10, Griezmann was handed a new five-year deal and saw his rating increase to 71 on FIFA 11 - with the possibility of his overall going up by 10 if all went well in career mode.

His highest rated individual stat this time was his acceleration, which was 81.

FIFA 12:

Griezmann's stock really began to rise and as he started to make waves for Sociedad in La Liga, EA Sports quickly became aware of his talents and the left winger was a Gold player on FIFA 12, with a 76 rated card.

He had 80 pace and 83 dribbling, as well as the potential to reach 84 in career mode. He had two in-forms on Ultimate Team, with each card increasing his overall by four and making him an attacking machine in the process.

FIFA 13:

A year later, Griezmann's basic rating went up by one to 77, with his stats nearly identical as the previous year.

Ball control, dribbling and pace remained his most impressive statistics and he had just the one in-form on Ultimate Team, though he would more than make up for it the following year.

FIFA 14:

Off the back of a strong 2012/13 campaign where he scored 10 goals and helped Sociedad qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 2003/04, Griezmann began FIFA 14 as an 80 rated player, with 81 pace and 84 dribbling.

During that season, though, he was on fine form and it was no surprise that he saw a number of different upgrades.

He went up to 82 rating on the January upgrades, having scored 11 goals before the turn of the year.

The Frenchman's fine form continued and he then received two in-forms as well as an insane 90 rated Team of the Season card that was lethal.

90 pace, 91 dribbling and 89. Scenes.

FIFA 15:

Now at Atletico Madrid after his big move, Griezmann remained 82 rated but went up to 83 in the winter upgrades and never looked back.

As he transitioned into a striker, Griezmann banged the goals in and hit 25 in all competitions in his first season at the Vicente Calderon.

With such a rich vein of form in front of goal, he received three separate striker in-form cards during the campaign.

Then, for the second season running, Griezmann made the La Liga Team of the Season and a devastating 91 rated card followed.

LOOK AT THOSE STATS!

FIFA 16:

Griezy started FIFA 16 as an 83 rated striker but had 11 different other versions on Ultimate Team and each time, his card became even more deadly.

For the third year on the trot, he made the La Liga Team of the Season and that produced another stunning card that superseded his other upgrades, in-form and Man of the Match cards.

RIP defenders.

FIFA 17:

After an excellent domestic season and European Championships in which he scored a total of 39 goals in 67 games, Griezmann saw his basic rating increase to 88 on the current game.

So far, he's had an 90 rated in-form as well as an 89 rated Team of the Group Stage card.

Last but not least, Griezmann has reached the level where he is good enough to command his own FIFA Ultimate Team card and it's different gravy.

Griezmann is one of the lucky few to receive his very own blue 95-rated card, with stats like 96 pace, 95 shooting and 98 dribbling making him one the best cards in the game.

Just look at it..

EA Sports only hand out blue cards to footballers who play the game regularly, with the likes of Luke Shaw, Joey Barton and Jay Rodriguez receiving them in past FIFA's.

He's known for his 'Hotline Bling', but when it comes to football and FIFA, he definitely started from the bottom.

Happy birthday Antoine!
