Instant impact.

Arsenal's club-record signing Alexandre Lacazette took little time to adjust to life in the Premier League, opening his account a mere two minutes into his first game in the English game.

In a ferocious start to proceedings against Leicester City at the Emirates, the Frenchman diverted Mohamed Elneny's cross past the diving Kasper Schmeichel with an inch-perfect header to make his mark at Arsenal.

Talk about an instant impact! It's a sublime header from Arsenal's new number nine when you consider there really wasn't much pace on the cross at all, and he directed it into the far corner in brilliant fashion.

Here's how Twitter reacted:

Arsenal's lead didn't last long though, as just 160 seconds later, Shinji Okazaki got on the end of a knock-down from new Foxes signing Harry Maguire to head home the equaliser.

And then 29 minutes in, Jamie Vardy, a target for Arsenal last year, got off the mark for the season when he stabbed home after being beautifully picked out by Marc Albrighton.

But Danny Welbeck then struck in first-half stoppage time to complete an enthralling first 45 minutes of the new season.

The Premier League is back, lads!
