The Arsenal new boy put last weekend's disappointment him with a great run and cross for his national team in a World Cup qualifier.

Sead Kolasinac might not have been good enough to get in the Arsenal team last Sunday, somehow, but he sent a gentle reminder to Arsene Wenger of the kind of thing he can do when played in the right position.

Remember way back at the beginning of the transfer window when we thought Arsenal were having a good time of things signing Saed Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette early, what more innocent time those were.

Instead yesterday just showed the true degree of the Gunners' transfer plight as they apparently had a £92 million offer for Thomas Lemar accepted by Monaco but pulled out fearing they didn't have enough time to complete the deal.

The problem for Wenger was that he worried he'd sell Alexis Sanchez and not got a replacement in time. After the 4-0 loss to Liverpool on Sunday and losing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Liverpool it's not exactly been a great week for Wenger.

One player who bemusingly missed out on starting that match was new man Kolasinac who sat on the bench as right-back Hector Bellerin played at left wing-back. Last night, playing for Bosnia, the former Schalke player set up a goal for his team that really showed his capabilities on the left:

Wenger moved to a 5-3-2, or 3-5-2, system at the back end of the season and Kolasinac's signing looked like a master stroke with the 24 year old able to play at left wing-back, left back or centre back.

However against Liverpool he found himself on the bench with Bellerin played out of position, left back Nacho Monreal at centre back and the 'Ox', who was heading out of the club, at right wing-back.

The assist didn't help Bosnia too much as they fell to a 3-2 defeat to Cyprus and dented their slim chances of qualifying for next year's World Cup in Russia, they now sit two points behind second placed Greece in Group E.

Arsenal fans would love to see more of his assist from left wing-back.
